As many of you may know, I am the organizer of EdCamp Citrus. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, October 20th, 2012 in Inverness, FL. You’re all welcome to attend, in fact, I’d love to see all of you there, but that’s not what I’m asking.
In my school district of nearly 1900 teachers, there are very few of us that have a personal learning network. That number is probably less than 20 (really…) One of my focuses at EdCamp this year is going to be the importance of our teachers being connected educators. Four years ago, as a result of the connections I started to make on Twitter, I became a different teacher, a much better teacher and I believe that the other 1880 teachers in my district deserve that same opportunity.
Here is the favor I’m asking of all of you. As part of the intro to EdCamp Citrus this year, I want to create a video. A compilation video of all of you telling us why the connections you’ve made in your personal learning network have been so valuable to you. Please create a 5-15 second long video explaining to us why your PLN and being a connected educator is so important.
Information can be submitted below. Thank you for your assistance in this project. I’d love to have all of the submissions by September 20th. This will give me 3 weeks or so to edit the video…
Thank you for your help. I’ll share the video when it’s complete.
