Today, Google announced a few updates to Google Classroom. These changes were mainly cosmetic with few updates on the functionality side of things. The biggest change is the new ability for teachers to upload their own custom image to use as their background image in their class. Apparently, this was one of the most often requested features from teachers. In addition, there are new images/themes to choose from including new sets of patterns. Sadly, this update does not include the most glaring thing missing from Classroom, the ability to add a co-teacher.
There are also changes to the mobile apps adding some more functionality to those as well. Check out my 2 Minute Ed Tech Tip below for a first look at the changes in Google Classroom.
